Police appeal after man assaulted in Penrith

Police are investigating an assault which occurred between 8pm and 8:30pm on Sunday 16th June on Duke Street, Penrith.

The incident is reported to have involved two men.

One of the men was with a woman at the time.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The man on his own suffered minor injuries, he is described as being in his late 20s.

“The man with the woman is described as white, aged between 25 and 26-year-old,  5ft 9ins, slim build, with short brown hair. He was wearing jeans and a blueish top.

“The woman is described as white, aged between 20 and 26-year-old, 5ft 5ins, with long hair that was tied back.”
