Police are appealing for witnesses following a three-vehicle road traffic collision on the A66 near Appleby at approximately 4pm on 22nd June.
The incident involved an Audi A3, BMW 5 series and a Renault Captur.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The driver of the Audi a 55-year-old man from Chesterfield suffered minor injuries.
“The driver of the BMW a 67-year-old man from Johnstone suffered minor injuries and a 62-year-old woman passenger suffered serious injuries
“The driver of the Renault a 79-year-old man from Belfast suffered minor injuries.”
