A Carlisle resident has been taken to hospital following a house fire.
Fire crews rushed to the address at 3:14am today, Tuesday 25 June.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Two fire engines from Carlisle East and Carlisle West were mobilised to a fire involving a single storey semi-detached domestic building on Northwood Crescent, Carlisle.
“Fire fighters use one hose reel, two breathing apparatus and one positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire and also administered first aid to one casualty.
“The casualty was then conveyed to hospital by ambulance staff.
“Fire crews were in attendance for approximately one hour.”
