Ullswater Heights, the stunning new luxury holiday park from five-star resort operator Leisure Resorts, will open on 1st of July near Newbiggin, Penrith – representing an investment approaching £20 million – and will create an estimated 65 full and part-time jobs when it is open, having created approximately 40 jobs during the construction phase.
Encircling a beautiful eight-acre lake and set amongst 70 acres of land and designed gardens that complement the surrounding countryside, the resort sets a whole new standard for high-end holiday accommodation, offering gorgeous holiday lodges for ownership or holidays, including spa getaways and a UK-first: centrally heated glamping tents with Jacuzzis.
The resort is a dream getaway for couples, families with children and especially people travelling with dogs. Ullswater Heights’ 150 pitches include lodges for ownership built to the highest specification and a range of brand-new holiday lodges for rental in partnership with Hoseasons, including Spa Retreats accommodating two couples in the park’s most luxurious lodges, each with its own private courtyard complete with Jacuzzi spa, Akula furniture and sauna.
Commenting on the launch, Leisure Resorts Managing Director Gary Molloy said: “Leisure Resorts has been operating for just over two years and Ullswater Heights represents the pinnacle of our achievements to-date. We’re taking our offering to a new level, aiming to open as the best holiday park in the UK and never stop improving what we offer. We’re delighted to partner with Hoseasons who have over 75 years’ experience offering brilliant holiday lodge getaways. Uptake of holiday homes for ownership has also been a great success so far – this will be a tranquil and beautiful escape for owners and holidaymakers alike.”
Scott Drew, Property & Portfolio Director at Hoseasons said: “It’s great to see Leisure Resorts flourishing amidst the strong demand for domestic short breaks in the UK with their latest addition of Ullswater Heights. The quality of the new accommodation on offer in this idyllic countryside setting is among the best in our UK portfolio, and we’ll be doing all we can to raise awareness of it to national audiences through our extensive marketing activity and large customer database.”
The jewel in the crown of the park will be one of the most expensive holiday lodges ever manufactured in the UK, created by British luxury home provider Aspire Park & Leisure Homes. Dubbed The Blencathra, the stunning lodge is one of the first in the UK to feature a Jacuzzi on the roof. It offers an incredible 1,430 square feet of space with three bedrooms, four bathrooms and a vast open plan living room. With a guide price of £795,000, the lodge is a unique masterpiece and the most sought-after holiday lodge in the UK.
