Apprentice recruitment drive launched across Cumbria

Cumbria County Council has launched its latest apprenticeship recruitment drive with a wide range of opportunities across the county, including social care, children and young people’s services, business administration, customer service, project management, highways maintenance and more.

The latest apprenticeship recruitment drive is open now to people of all ages and backgrounds who are being encouraged to apply by the deadline on Sunday 7 July 2019.

All apprenticeship opportunities are being advertised online at www.cumbria.gov.uk/apprentice.

Councillor Sue Sanderson, Cabinet Member for Schools and Learning, said: “Apprenticeships are open to everyone, they are well suited to young people and as it’s the time of year many of our young people will be considering their options, these opportunities might just provide the perfect start to a career in the public sector.

“Every year Cumbria County Council offers many different apprenticeships across the county and the majority of our apprentices go on to secure employment. As a paid employee, each apprentice works alongside their studies and has the support of the council’s dedicated Apprenticeship Team.

“These opportunities are not to be missed.”
