Firefighters tackle Brampton vehicle fire

Two fire engines from Carlisle East and Brampton have attended reports of a large vehicle fire at Gallowberry, Brampton.

Fire crews were called at 3:10pm today, Tuesday 2 July.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “On arrival crews found an excavator on fire and extinguished it using breathing apparatus and hose reel jets.

“Crews were in attendance for approximately thirty five minutes.”
