Firefighters tackle industrial machine fire in Barrow

One fire engine from Ulverston and one from Barrow have attended reports of a building fire on West Side Park Road, Barrow-in-Furness.

Fire crews were called at 3:17pm today, Wednesday 3 July.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “On arrival fire crews found one industrial machine well alight which was extinguished using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and small tools.

“Crews were in attendance for approximately 40 minutes.”
