Man arrested after forged £20 notes passed in Barrow area

Police are warning businesses to be vigilant following reports of forged £20 notes being passed in the Barrow area.

Businesses have been targeted indiscriminately from shops and barbers across Barrow with one used in the area of Marsh Street.

A 20-year-old man from Barrow was arrested on suspicion of

  • Fraud by false representation
  • Possession of a class A drug
  • Production of counterfeit notes
  • Possession with intent to supply a Class A drug

And released under investigation.
