Police appeal after biker seriously injured in A595 Distington Bypass collision

Police are investigating a road traffic collision which occurred on the A595 Distington Bypass at approximately 6.10am on Wednesday 3rd July.

The collision occurred on the Southbound carriageway with vehicles travelling from Workington to Whitehaven direction.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Police are looking for potential witnesses to this incident which involved a black/blue Yamaha motorcycle with a male rider colliding into the back of a white VW Polo.

“The rider suffered serious injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.”
