Woman hurt in Cleator Moor attack

Police are investigating an assault which occurred under Dragon Bridge in Cleator Moor at 9:30pm on Friday 5 July.

A 28-year-old woman sustained head injuries as a result of being assaulted by a group of males.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “One male is described as white, about 19-years old, pale skin, wearing black clothing and a black beanie hat with a peak.”

Officers are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who can identify the suspects, anyone with information is asked to contact Cumbria Police on 101 quoting log 239 of 5 July or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
