A66 closed after collision in North Yorkshire

The A66 in North Yorkshire is closed westbound between the A1M and the A67 (at Bowes) due to a collision involving a car.

A lorry has spilt its load which caused a car to skid on the spillage causing a collision.

Emergency services including North Yorkshire Police are in attendance.

Westbound traffic is being diverted via local routes, however if travelling from farther afield, it’s recommended you take either the M62 or A69 cross-pennine routes instead.
