Copeland food hygiene inspection ratings

Copeland Council has published its monthly list of food hygiene inspection ratings.

Every premises in the borough is subject to regular inspection, including pubs and restaurants, cafes, takeaways, hotels, schools, care homes and shops.

Ratings are given based on a number of factors including food/drink storage, cleanliness and record-keeping.

Ratings are awarded from five (the highest) to zero.

The council actively encourages premises to display their rating but they are not legally obliged to do so.

During June, the council awarded the following ratings:

Mellors Catering Service Ltd (Whitehaven Academy), Cleator Moor Road, Whitehaven – 5
Egremont Cricket Club, Gillfoot, Egremont – 5
The Grey Lady, Irton – 5
Mitie Catering Services, Ingwell Drive, Moor Row – 5
Cleator Moor Nursery School, Ennerdale Road, Cleator Moor – 5
The Roof Top Café, Lowther Street, Whitehaven – 5
Black Sail Youth Hostel, Ennerdale – 5
Domino’s Pizza, Tangier Street, Whitehaven – 5
Stanley Arms Hotel, Calderbridge – 5
Cleavers, Lowther Street, Whitehaven – 5
Cater Link Ltd (West Lakes Academy), Main Street, Egremont – 5
Harbour Hotel, Main Street, Haverigg – 5
Beckfoot Retreat, Ennerdale – 5
Harvest Bakery, Holborn Hill, Millom – 5
Chattanooga Flame Grill Take Away, Duke Street, Whitehaven – 4
Ennerdale Country House Hotel, Cleator – 3
Original Chattanooga, Frizington Road, Frizington – 3
