Cigarettes stolen in Witherslack petrol station burglary

Police were alerted to a burglary at Greystones Filling Station, Witherslack, at 1:18am this morning (15th July), following the activation of the intruder alarm system.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A large volume of cigarettes were taken.

“Specialist officers are investigating the incident.”

Police are appealing for anyone with any information, including if anyone in the area may have seen any vehicles acting suspiciously prior to the incident, to contact police. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111, quoting log number 15 of the 15th July 2019.
