A MAN accused of burgling a home in Whitehaven will stand trial later this year.
Daniel James Bullock, 28, appeared at Carlisle Crown Court earlier today (MON).
Bullock pleaded not guilty to one charge which alleges burglary by entering an address on Windermere Road in Whitehaven, on June 27 as a trespasser, and the theft of a television, make-up, toiletries, medication and clothing.
He also pleaded not guilty to a second charge alleging “going equipped for burglary by being in possession of articles – torches and a screwdriver – for use in the course of, or in connection with, theft.
Bullock’s case was adjourned. He is now due to stand trial in front of a jury at the crown court.
A hearing expected to last around one day is due to start in the week of September 16.
In the meantime Bullock, of no fixed address, was remanded in custody by Judge James Adkin.
