Jack Millward, a student at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Penrith has been honoured with an award for his work in business studies from leading local accountants, Lamont Pridmore.

Jack received The Lamont Pridmore Business Studies Student of the Year 2018 trophy from Philip Pridmore at a special presentation held at the school.

Jack’s tutor nominated him for this award because he worked exceptionally hard and contributed well in lessons, resulting in him achieving an A grade in his Economics examination.

Philip Pridmore said: “Having spoken to Jack and his tutors it is clear that he is very dedicated to his learning and has a real talent for business studies and economics, which hopefully bodes well for his future studies.

“It is really important that local businesses take time to recognise students that are achieving outstand results and encourage them to continue working hard as they may well one day be the region’s future business leaders.”

Lamont Pridmore has a long history of supporting local schools and regularly honours students across Cumbria for their hard work. Its activity within the community remains a core value of the firm’s operations.

Graham Lamont, Chief Executive of Lamont Pridmore added: “We are extremely proud of our long association with the Queen Elizabeth Grammar School and all of the other schools and organisations that we support. We hope that this will encourage other students and young people to succeed in future.”
