Three charged following Workington town centre incident

Three people have been charged following an incident that occurred yesterday, at around 4pm, in Workington town centre.

Mark Whitehead, 32, of Senhouse Street, Workington, has been charged with obstructing a police officer. He is due to appear before Workington magistrates court on the 23rd August 2019.

Kelly Anne Smyth, 34, of no fixed abode, has been charged with obstructing a police officer and assault on an emergency worker. She is due to appear before Workington magistrates court on the 27th of August 2019.

Jack Nicholson 26, of Fountains Avenue, Workington, has been charged with, section 4A public order, obstructing a police officer, assault on an emergency worker and violent behaviour at a police station. He is due to appear before Workington magistrates court on the 23 of August 2019.
