Carlisle Lake District Airport has reopened after flooding affected its runway.
The airport closed its runway due to flooding, which was impacting Carlisle and the wider region.
Flights were diverted to Newcastle International Airport and the airport partnered with a local coach company, which transported affected passengers to Newcastle.
A Carlisle Lake District Airport spokesperson said: “We have now reopened the runway and the airport is operational again. We will continue to monitor the weather very closely.”
