An exciting two year Charity of the Year partnership between Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice and Impact has raised £8,000 for the local charity.
Between 2017 and 2019, staff from the Windermere based experiential learning company have organised a range of fundraising events in aid of the children’s hospice. The money raised will help Jigsaw to provide the highest standards of care, support and activities to children and young adults with life limiting illnesses.
David Williams, CEO and Founder of Impact, said “Having a positive effect on the communities we work in around the world is fundamental to Impact’s business purpose. Supporting local charities like Jigsaw, Children’s Hospice with activities and funding is rewarding for everyone.”
During the two year partnership Impact have provided Jigsaw with much more than financial support. Impact have provided support to members of staff from Jigsaw, including team building days, and introduced many businesses to the charity and encouraged them to find out how they too can support Jigsaw.
Natalie Bingham, Corporate Relationship Co-ordinator, said ‘’Working with the team at Impact over the last two years has been an absolute pleasure. We have worked closely with them on a variety of projects over the years including training, events and digital support. This significant donation will pay for almost four day’s of care at Jigsaw which is simply amazing. Thank you!’’
