Cumbria Crack

CCOP Graduate Intern – West and Furness area

The multi-award winning University of Cumbria is a wonderful blend of old and new, founded on a rich educational history with institutions dating back more than 150 years.

Now is a very exciting time to be joining us because we are delivering a new strategic plan focused on making the most of our three most valuable assets; People, Place and Partnerships, to become a catalyst for economic well-being for our region, nationally and internationally.

We are looking to recruit two enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Interns to support the development and delivery of outreach activity in our Barrow and West Cumbria teams. Cumbria Collaborative Outreach Programme (CCOP) forms part of OFS (Office for Students) national initiative to ensure government targets to double the number of learners from WP backgrounds in to Higher Education by 2020 are met.

The University of Cumbria is the lead institution for CCOP – the Cumbria consortium, which includes partners ranging from higher education institutions, further education colleges and employers operating within Cumbria. The post will be based within the University of Cumbria but will work for the consortium and report to the CCOP area manager.

The programme is operational in identified target wards working with specific learners in three key areas of Cumbria to provide sustained, progressive and intensive outreach.
