Three fire engines have been mobilised to reports of a building fire in Haverigg.
Fire crews were called at 4:25am today, Monday 26 August.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “On arrival crews found the building well alight, the fire was contained to the upstairs bedroom and roof of the property.
“Crews used two breathing apparatus, three hose reel jets and a 9m ladder to extinguish and damp down the fire.
“Crews are still in attendance.”
