Police appeal after man kicked and punched in Barrow

Police are investigating an assault in Barrow. The incident occurred on Thursday 29th August, at around 11:20pm, near to McDonald’s on Dalton Road, Barrow. The incident involved a man in his late twenties and a group of youths.

The man was walking alone, up Dalton Road and the group of youths were outside McDonald’s entrance when a confrontation occurred.

As the man was walking away, it is reported that he was assaulted from behind, knocked to the floor and kicked and punched. He received minor injuries that did not requiring hospital treatment.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “There is no description of suspects available at this time.”
