Woman arrested on suspicion of murder following River Kent incident

Detectives investigating an incident at the River Kent on the 11th August at around 6:40am have arrested a woman on suspicion of murder.

The body of Simon Dodds, 43, from Ambleside was found in the area of the River Kent near Levens Lane on the 13th August at around 3pm.

A 30-year-old woman from Ambleside was arrested today (2nd September) and remains in police custody.

Detectives are continuing their appeal for witnesses or anyone who has dashcam footage taken in the area of Nannypie Lane or that might have seen a vehicle in the nearby layby between 9pm on Saturday 10th August and 7am on Sunday 11th August.
