Police appeal after rabbits shot in Kendal

Police have received a report of rabbits being shot on Murley Moss business park in Kendal.

The incidents occurred on two occasions on the 12th September between 9.15pm-9.30pm and on the 13th September between 10.20pm-10.40pm.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “On the night of the 12th, four young males, one carrying an air rifle and one carrying a dead rabbit, were spotted on CCTV.

“On the night of the 13th, a man was seen searching the area with a torch, looking under and behind bushes.

“We would like to speak to those pictured in the CCTV images as part of our investigations.”

Anyone with information is asked to call PC 1814 on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting log 219 of the 13th September.
