Firefighters tackle Frizington building fire

Two fire engines were mobilised to a building fire on the A5086 Frizington.

Fire crews were called at 11:43pm yesterday, Thursday 19 September.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Crews found the building to be well alight on arrival.

“Firefighters used breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet and a C02 extinguisher to extinguish the fire.

“Crews were in attendance for approximately two hours.”
