Abnormal load to travel through Cumbria

Police are advising motorists that an abnormal load will be driven along the M6 and A66 in Cumbria on Wednesday (September 25).

The load will travel south along the M6 from Southwaite before joining the A66 at junction 40 of the motorway, heading to the A1 at Scotch Corner.

It is expected traffic flow on these routes may be impacted between 10am and 2pm.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Police are asking motorists to be patient or find an alternative route if possible.

“Officers thank motorists for their patience in advance.”
