Police appeal after man assaulted in Egremont

Police are investigating an assault which happened at around 2am on Saturday 21st September, near to the memorial on Main Street, Egremont.

The incident involved two men.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A man in his 20s was stood on the street when he was approached and hit the face by a man described as 5’6″, white, of large build and in his mid-20s.”

Police are asking for anyone with information, or who may have witnessed the incident to contact PC 2567 on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting log 26 of 21st September.
