Horse rescued in Corney

Three fire engines have attended a rescue of a horse at a farm in Corney.

Fire crews were called at 1:31pm today, Saturday 5 October.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Firefighters used large animal rescue equipment, a harness and a quick release system to rescue the horse.

“Crews were in attendance for approximately two hours.”
