Man arrested after Carlisle crash

Officers investigating a road traffic collision in Carlisle are appealing for witnesses.

At approximately 8.12pm on Thursday 3 October, police were alerted to a two-vehicle collision that occurred on Durranhill Road. The vehicles involved were a white BMW 3 series and a black Vauxhall Insignia.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A 40-year-old man, from Carlisle, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and harassment. He has been bailed until November 1.

“There were no serious injuries.

“Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision. Anyone with information is urged to contact the investigating officer, PC 2579 Rae.”

Anyone with information should ring the officer directly on 101, option 2, extension number 42579. Please leave your name, address, telephone number and any information you may have, no matter how insignificant you may deem this.

You can also dial 101 and speak to a police officer where you can quote log number 204, of the 3rd October 2019, for information to be passed over.
