Police appeal after Workington diesel theft

Police are investigating an incident of theft of diesel, from a HGV at a secure compound.

The incident occurred on Wednesday 9th October between 7:30pm and 10:00pm at Reedlands Road, Clay Flats, Workington.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Entry has been forced to the secure compound causing damage to the exterior fencing.

“Police are appealing for any information in relation to this incident, including any potential witnesses.

“Businesses in the area are also asked to be aware and vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police.”
