Carlisle man charged with GBH with intent after man stabbed in the neck

A man has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent following an incident at an address in Coney Street in Carlisle where a man suffered injuries consistent with having been stabbed in the neck.

Police were called at 4.50pm on Wednesday (23 Oct) after a 30-year-old man suffered a serious injury to his neck at the property.

NWAS attended and the injured man was taken to hospital where he remains in stable condition.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A 40-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and subsequently charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.

“Lee Kidd, 40, of Coney Street in Carlisle is due to appear at Carlisle Magistrates’ Court today (25 Oct).”
