Workington DJ, Jonny Donat lands radio residency

Local lad Jonny Donat from Workington recently announced he has been confirmed for a radio residency at renowned radio station, Data Transmission.

Data Transmission is one of the biggest online radios in the world, Jonny’s residency will be every second Thursday of the month between 11am and 1pm.

Data Transmission’s shows cover every genre, all types of Disco, House, Techno, Drum & Bass to downtempo chill-out, and the DJs come from all over the globe, including the USA, Canada, Switzerland, Germany, Australia, Egypt, Netherlands and even one from Peru. The variety of DJs and genres results in a whopping 3.5 million listeners tuning in. Data Transmission continue to champion the freshest new music and artists from the global electronic scene.

Jonny the DJ come businessman is on the path to chasing his dreams. Jonny currently owns a nightclub in Workington called Electric Soup which has seen the likes of Danny Howard and DJ Cromby perform as well as running his own music festival earlier this year in June with chart topping Secondcity and again with Danny.

Jonny commented: “I am absolutely buzzing to be able to have this opportunity; I’m finding loads of unreal music I want to share with everyone and it’s an absolute privilege to have a platform to share it, and air music I love! Massive thanks to everyone for all the continued support.”

Donat’s first show will air on the 14th November, his two-hour show will include a mixtape of his own and a one-hour mix tape from some of his DJ friends!
