Carlisle police request owner of two horses to come forward

Officers are requesting the owner of two horses come forward after their animals were rescued following an escape from a Carlisle field.

Police were contacted at 2.55pm today (November 15) with concerns for two horses that were found at Hilltop Heights on London Road. It is believed that the horses had escaped from a nearby field in the Gilford Park area.

The horses are safe, however officers are requesting that the owner come forward in order to ensure that the horses can be placed in a secure location.

The owner is urged to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 143 of November 15.
