Police are appealing for information following an assault in Carlisle.
Officers are investigating after a man sustained injuries including a broken jaw and burns at a house in Spencer Street.
Police were alerted to the assault at 5.58pm yesterday (Sunday November 17).
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Three people – a man from Aspatria, aged 29, a man from Carlisle, aged 31 and a male, 17, from Carlisle, have been arrested.
“They remain in police custody today.
“The injured man, 33, of Carlisle, is at the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.
“His injuries are serious but not life threatening.”
Officers are appealing for anyone who may have any information about the assault to come forward.
They should contact DC 2212 Charlotte Jones on 101, referring to incident 166 of November 17.
