Sellafield Ltd has received two top awards for project management performance from the Association of Project Managers (APM).
Two of four shortlisted Sellafield entries were declared winners at the high-profile APM Awards 2019 event in London this week.
The first award was for Contribution to the Profession and the second – awarded to Sellafield Ltd, Cavendish Nuclear and Balfour Beatty – for Engineering, Construction and Infrastructure Project of the Year for the Sellafield Silo Maintenance Facility project.
Both demonstrate the professional excellence and nationally significant work being done at Sellafield and the benefits of a collaborative approach to major project delivery at the nuclear site.
John Oliver, Project Director, said: “Winning not one, but two APM awards is fantastic! This shows our investment in the project management community is being recognised on a national level. Congratulations and a huge well done to everyone involved.”
Neil Crewdson, Head of Project Management Capability, added: “Our success demonstrates the ambition and capability of the project management community at Sellafield and how we are investing in the current and next generation of nuclear professionals.”
