Firefighters tackle Carlisle bedroom blaze

Two fire engines have attended a property fire on Prescott Road, Carlisle.

Fire crews were called at 4:12am today, Thursday 21 November.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “The fire involved a domestic property with a bedroom well alight.

“Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and a positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire.

“Crews were detained approximately eighty minutes.”
