Five fire engines, an aerial ladder platform, a water bowser, a rapid response unit and a welfare unit have attended a fire in Levens, Kendal.
Fire crews were called at 9:09pm yesterday, Wednesday 20 November.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “The fire involved a semi-detached property consisting of two floors approximately fifteen metres by fifteen metres.
“Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, one external jet, a twelve meter ladder, roof ladder, twin rope access equipment, small tools and a light portable pump to extinguish the fire.
“Firefighters were detained approximately five hours.”
