A person has been rescued from the River Eamont at Eamont Bridge in Penrith.
Fire crews were called at 10:57am today, Thursday 21 November.
Three fire engines attended the incident by the A6.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “One casualty was rescue from water by fire service personnel using one rescue sled.
“The fire service were in attendance for fifty minutes.”
