Pedestrian, 91, seriously injured in Whitehaven collision

Police are currently dealing with a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a car at Bridges Retail Park, Whitehaven near B&M.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The pedestrian, a 91-year-old woman was taken to Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle with serious injuries.

“The car involved was a Kia Rio driven by a woman, 27 of Frizington.

“Motorists are advised to avoid the area as delays are expected and traffic is building up.”
