Pedestrian, 70, seriously injured in Workington collision

Police are investigating a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a car that occurred at around 9pm yesterday (Dec 3) at the roundabout, junction of Solway Road and Bessemer Way in Workington.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The pedestrian, a 70-year-old man from Workington was taken to Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle with serious leg injuries.

“The car involved was a BMW one series driven by a 27-year-old man from Workington.”
