Man hurt in Whitehaven attack

Police are appealing for information after an assault in Whitehaven on Saturday (7th December).

The incident happened in the men’s toilets in Shakers bar on Duke Street, at around 10.15pm.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A man in his 30s sustained a broken eye socket and was taken to hospital.”

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this assault or who may have information to call DC 2557 on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting log 53 of 7th December.
