Appeal to find missing Carlisle woman

Police are continuing to appeal for the public’s help finding missing 51-year-old woman from Carlisle.

It is known that Janet McElrone went to Morrisons in Carlisle at around 1pm on 23 December.

She had previously left her address on foot. Officers are concerned for her welfare. She has now been missing for eight days.

She is described as a white female with shoulder-length blonde hair, 5ft 3ins tall and of medium build.
Janet also speaks with a Canadian accent.

Police are appealing for anyone with information on Janet’s whereabouts to get in touch by calling 101.
