The Cumbria Media Diary 2020 has been released providing a guide to marketing and publicity for county businesses in the year ahead.
It is the second diary produced by Carlisle based PR, content and social media firm Intro and is packed with Cumbrian dates for 2020 covering everything from Cumbria Pride to the Cumberland Show.
Intro director Helen Statham said: “We had a lot of brilliant feedback from our first one so we decided to do it again.
“The idea is for our diary to be the promotional bible for Cumbrian businesses, charities and other organisations planning their year ahead.
“It is packed full of ideas, information and inspiration.”
The diary has a section dedicated to ideas for achieving publicity and marketing.
Five big events for 2020 are highlighted along with advice such as how businesses can get involved with World Environment Day or a reminder to check out the timing of the men’s 100 metre final at the Summer Olympics before scheduling your event.
There are tips from local radio, newspaper and magazine editors on how to access media coverage, lessons from past Intro PR projects and a guide to influential Cumbrian Instagrammers.
The media directory section has up-to-date contacts for local TV, radio, press and online channels, large and small.
Significant dates are highlighted ranging from local festivals, sporting contests and school term times, to national health promotions such as Cervical Cancer Prevention Week, to essentials such as the Euro 2020 Football Championship and UCAS deadline day, to excuses for a bit of fun such as Winnie the Pooh Day.
Intro was founded by Nick Turner and Helen Statham in 2018.
