Police appeal after man assaulted in Carlisle

Police are investigating an incident which happened at about 7.32am this morning (16th January) at the cash machine outside the Clydesdale bank on English Street, Carlisle.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A man in his 60s was assaulted by an unknown man who is reported to have been wearing all dark clothing.”

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or anyone with information to contact PC 2778 on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting log 36 of the 16th January.
