Biker hurt following Penrith collision

Norfolk Road in Penrith was closed this afternoon following a two-vehicle road traffic collision.

Police were called at 2:30pm today (Jan 28).

The collision involved a motorcycle and a Ford Fiesta.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The rider of the bike, a 25-year-old man from Chorley suffered minor injuries and was taken to Penrith hospital.

“The driver for the Ford was uninjured.”

The road was closed while police dealt with the scene but has now reopened.
