THE BEACON Museum’s next Talking Tuesday event features nutritionist Jackie Wilkinson.
At the presentation on Tuesday, February 11, at 2pm, Jackie will explain her healthy new approach to food planning.
Jackie’s own life experiences have moulded her outlook on dieting. She said: “After 10 years of misery and ill-health, brought on by following official ‘healthy living’ guidance, I transformed my life by discovering that we are not all the same and the foods that I had been denying myself were sometimes just what I needed.
“Having a trimmer body, better health and more energy without being on a diet may sound too good to be true but it isn’t. It’s more about adding in or swapping than calorie counting and deprivation. It’s about giving your body what it needs, and a few simple changes can make a massive difference to how you look and feel.”
Jackie will be showcasing some budget-friendly ways to transform one’s diet, and providing some tasters for visitors to enjoy. The event costs £5 per person, including a hot drink and nibbles, and is open to all. Visitors are asked to book ahead by calling 01946 592302, or by emailing [email protected].
