Due to an ongoing major incident in Cumbria, affecting the water supply in parts of Eden, two GP Practices are adapting their services for the next few days.
Shap Medical Practice and Glenridding Health Centre are both unfortunately affected by this incident.
To ensure the continuation of patient care they are adapting the way they will be working while the issue is resolved by United Utilities.
Reception will still be open at both practices for patients to collect prescriptions and for general enquiries.
Patients with existing clinical appointments will be contacted directly by the practice to discuss any alternative location arrangements for their appointments.
If patients have appointments scheduled for Wednesday (12/02/20) or Thursday (13/02/20) they are advised to contact the practice prior to travelling for advice and guidance, if they haven’t already been updated.
They apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and the staff at both practices would like to thank people for their patience during this time.
Patients are also advised to please use services wisely and reminded that the NHS 111 phone number and NHS 111 online service can offer medical advice 24/7.
