Three fire engines were called to reports of a road traffic collision near to Rockcliffe Estate off Kingmoor Road, Carlisle.
Fire crews were called at 2:51pm today.
On arrival crews discovered a road traffic collision involving one car and one minibus.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Five casualties were treated at scene by fire service personnel and ambulance personnel.
“Crews used a first aid kit and oxygen to treat the casualties, with three casualties being conveyed to hospital by ambulance.
“Fire crews were in attendance for approximately forty minutes.”
