Firefighters tackle Carlisle kitchen blaze

Two fire engines were mobilised to a domestic building fire on Springfield Road, Carlisle.

Fire crews were called at 11:23am today, Friday 27 March.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “The fire involved the kitchen of the property and crews used two breathing apparatus and one hose-reel jet to bring the incident under control.

“They were at the scene for thirty minutes.”
