Police appeal after “far right” graffiti found in Carlisle

PC David Desborough

Police are appealing for information following “far right” graffiti being sprayed at two locations in the city.

The two locations were Caldcotes and Canal Street, on the main route to the hospital.

It is believed the graffiti has been sprayed at some time between 4pm last night (27 March) and 7.30am today (28 March).

Police Constable Graham Chadwick said: “It is not believed the graffiti has been targeted at any individual.

“However, this is a deplorable act and I would urge anyone with information about who is responsible to contact police immediately.”

Any witnesses, contact PC2851 Desborough, call 101 or email [email protected] quoting incident 58 of 28 March 2020.
