One hundred activity packs aimed at keeping boredom at bay are to be distributed to children in Barrow thanks to BAE Systems.
The company is working with toy and stationary outlet Heaths Ltd to provide the selection of pens, paper, crayons and more for primary school age children around the town.
The packs will be sent out this week along with a selection of Easter eggs donated by Morrison’s and Asda in Barrow.
“We’re delighted to be able to bring long-standing supporters like Phil Heath, Asda and Morrison’s together to help us provide these activity packs.” Amy Lamph, BAE Systems’ Education and Skills Advisor, said. “We work closely with young people of all ages and know the gifts will bring a welcome distraction while the current restrictions remain in place.”
The resources will allow children to continue their school work at home as part of a series of projects run by BAE Systems to support education during the Coronavirus pandemic.
